FIVE LESSONS TO LEARN FROM FIRST BLACK MISS ISREAL Yityish Titi Aynaw

 By Dsaved.com

She is an orphan, she's only 21 and she has been crowned the first black Miss Israel.

Now you've known a little about the beauty queen, here are five lessons you could learn from her story;
    YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAM
    Titi was not born with a silver spoon and was already an orphan at age 12. Her grandparents were not rich folks living in a foreign country; they were just part of thousands of Ethiopian Jews living in Israel. Most times we look at our background and believe that we can not achieve much because we are not privileged like the other rich kids. Titi determined to succeed against all odds, and so can you.

    THE GRASS MAY JUST BE GREENER AT THE OTHER SIDE
    Just like Esther in the bible, Titi is just one out of many Ethiopian Jews living in a foreign land. Sometimes we find  ourselves in places we believe we ought not be but we may never know if that is actually where our dreams will be fulfilled. Some biblical examples are; Joseph, Abraham, Esther, Daniel  all became great in a foreign land.
    YOU ARE YOUR MENTORS REFLECTION
    Titi pointed out some of her mentors as Martin Luther King and Barack Obama. She looked up to them and before long she was able to accomplish certain goals similar to theirs. Like Martin Luther King, she believes in equality and buttresses that in her statement ;

    "He fought for justice and equality, and that's one of the reasons I'm here. I want to show that my community has many beautiful qualities that aren't always represented in the media," she said at the time.
    Also, like Obama, Titi was the only black that competed  in the Miss Israel pageant 2013 and broke the status quo by emerged the first black winner of the pageant. she states;

    "I was influenced and inspired by Obama. Like him, I was also raised by my grandmother. Nothing was handed to me on a plate and like him I also had to work very hard and long to achieve things in my life. To this day he inspires me just as he inspires the rest of the world," she says.

    YOU ARE NOT TOO YOUNG TO FULFILL A LIFELONG DREAM

    Yityish Titi Aynaw is an  Ethiopian descent but after becoming an orphan at  age 12, she had to go  with her grandparents to Israel.  Nine years later she has been crowned queen, recognized by one of the most  influential men in the world and is going on to fulfilling her dream of bringing acceptance for her people in Israel. Its never to early to work towards  fulfilling our dreams neither is too late.
    YOUR HARD WORK COULD GET YOU AN INVITE TO THE KINGS TABLE
    Titi would have never imagined that she would one day meet the president of America, rather yet get a personal invitation from Barack Obama to attend the gala dinner. Well, keep working hard and one day your hard work will open doors for you. Always desire to be the best and work towards that goal.
    Know who you are, believe in yourself, know what you want to become and work towards it.

     I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes;

                   "Aim for the sun, even if you do not reach it, you'll land amongst the stars"
