BEING AT THE BOTTOM IS NOT BAD, WHEN YOU ARE LAYING A FIRM FOUNDATION

By Dsaved.com

Hi everyone! Its been a long wait for dsaved.com. I was inspired to begin a faith based blog after i graduated from the university. I wanted to start big, didn't want to go through the hassle of new beginnings. So, i spent lots of money on fancy themes, and any other thing that will promote the blog. This drifted my attention from the sole purpose of the blog which is to draw souls to Christ though faith based content. Hence, procrastination, obsession with perfection and lack of priority got the best of me.

I wanted a hit! i wanted it to become a name instantly, not that there is a problem with such goals but the foundation of a vision must be firm. A dream can be likened to building a house. You can not start looking for the roofing sheets when you have not laid the foundation of the building. It is like the proverb Jesus talked about in the bible, about the man that built his house on the sand and when the wind blew, it came crashing down as quickly as it was built(Matt 7:24-27).

Many people want to get to the top instantly without the sacrifice of planting and diligently watering it by prayer and hard work. Hence, when they face hardship on the way, they fall easily like a leaf falling from a tree when the wind blows. Today people  want to become CEO without giving time to hard work from which you gain experience. You want to build a mega church without focusing on growing strong spiritually and seeking God's guidance.

Running before the whistle blows

Most times, greed, pride and selfish motives are some of the negative factors  that propels  us to run before the whistle blows. We get to the end of the race thinking that we've won only to discover that we'll need to begin the race all over again because we failed to follow the rules. The rule of life states that before there is bountiful harvest, there must be a period to till, fertilize and water the land from which the plants will spring forth.
Jesus life is a perfect example for us to emulate. Phil 2:7 tells us that Jesus humbled himself though he was a God and made himself of no reputation, sacrificed his life in order to fulfill His vision to save the world. And now he has been given a name above every other name

Sacrifice is a major tool needed while building  your foundation

Sacrifice is a tool of inestimable value, which we need to build a firm foundation. Some have sacrificed sleep, food, freedom and even their lives to ensure a vision is fulfilled. Jesus Christ sacrificed his life to redeem our souls from the hell. He endured the scorn, shame and pain of the cross just to make that dream come true. If Jesus understood the importance of building a firm foundation in pursuing his goal, then we must take cue from him.

Don't forget. Jesus could have taken an easier path, Matt 26:53. He  had the power to just waltz into Hell with his blazing chariots and demand for the keys of Hell and death from Satan. After all, he was the son of the Almighty God. An easier route right? but he knew the value of our souls and he knew that nothing good comes easy. So he obeyed his father and took the more difficult path of sacrifice and that made all the difference.

So my dear saved , although you are not seeing any olive branch despite all your prayers and hard work do not be discouraged. You may be at the bottom now but when you eventually get to the top, you will stand strong.  Build a firm foundation by humbling yourselves, working diligently and seeking God's face in all our endeavors.
